Here is a close up of the final portrait
The portraits of the Best of Show Llamas are finished. The are two totally different llamas and the way they went together on the paper was totally different as well. I believe since the pigment of the pastels differs in colors, it affected the way they reacted together. I am really pleased with the final result and hope you enjoy them too. They will be shipping out to their new owners very shortly.
I have been busy with my portraits but I have also been fortunate enough to illustrate my first book with a fabulous author. This is the first of 10 in the series. I will let you know when they are ready for purchase. Check out the link

I am glad I didn't have to judge this show. I have been in the llama industry for over 20 years and I appreciate both of these champions. I would love to have either one of these llamas on my farm. But they aren't so I will just have to live vicariously by doing their portraits.
