Today I am posting the progression of the Camel and little boy portrait I have been working on,,, you can see the reference photo, blocking in shape of color, adding depth and then detail. I am happy with the progression, and hopefully will have it finished today.
The blocking in on this portrait has begun. I don't think there is anything cuter than a baby animal. Hopefully I will have all of the ones I have been posting of the blocked in stages will be complete and posted to the website
This is stage one of Grady and Chewie. I have blocked in color to get an idea where I want to go with the portrait. I post at this stage so the client can look and see if there is anything they want changed before I put in the final details.
This is stage one of Preston. As you can see, his eyes are still strange and there isn't much detail. I am posting several portraits right now in very early stages so clients can see how they are progressing and after approval, I can detail them out and ship them to their new homes.
This is the beginning stages of my latest portrait. It is a Scottie. This gives you an idea of what it is like when you do a black portrait,, it is important to have plenty of lighting to show highlights, otherwise your portrait will have no details.
