It is interesting to me, I didn't know much about Scotties. I figured one Scottie looked pretty much like the next one. I don't know which is my favorite Scottie, each one seems to have a different personality. I found out how different they are by doing this portrait. They will be going to their new home in Florida next week

I did something different with these little guys,,, I lost interest in the back of the brown pup so I decided to crop it out. I like the effect. They will be going to their new home in Chicago this week

I am starting to put the direction of the fiber into the portrait. The stretch of this llama is incredible and it is fun to get to actually draw an animal like this. 

Bess is the second in the llama series for Northwind Farms. Two totally different llamas but one just as much fun as the other to do. I think Bess will be easier to do than Polomo because white is so difficult ( as is black) to show depth. This is stage one in the portrait but I like how it is coming along. There is no detail in the fiber. I am still trying to figure out what I want to do with the background. Once I get the background the way I want it, I can start to bring the fiber into the background. It will be fun to see where I go with this one. I love the vibrant red in this one.

This is has be a fun portrait to do. He is a prize winning llama in the showring with his fabulous conformation and incredible fiber. He is a suri llama which has a lock structure which makes it more difficult to draw.
