This has been fun to go back and forth between the two pictures. As soon as I get bored with one picture, I go to the other until I get bored with that piece and then switch back to the other. I have the colors that I want to use for my base before I put the final detail in.I see more purple in the color of the elephants than I did when I originally blocked in color.

I am working as fast as I can to have new pieces for my display at the Dublin Art Fair. I am working on two pieces at the same time to try to help me out with that issue. Again I am working with zoo animals. Today I am posting the first steps of the pieces and that is when I block in the color.  I hope to have more detail in both of them to post updates later today.

Today I decided to draw a gorilla. I am not sure why, but for some reason they have been intriguing to me. I plan to do some wildlife artwork for the show in July. I am thinking of adding a  Zebra, Lion and Giraffe . On the gorilla, I used a colored pastel paper. I am not sure if I am going to add color or let the background color be the paper. Time will tell. Again, this is early and I just started this afternoon so lots of work to do on it.
