This was an interesting combination. I did another version of it with just a head shot of both animals but it didn't work out. I think the fact that the contrast of the low neck of the quarter horse and the erect neck of the llama thru the portrait out of balance. I changed them to full subjects and it seemed to help with balance issue. This is one of those portraits that just doesn't seem to photograph well. I would say all portraits look better in person, but this really seems to be particularly true with this one. It was so much fun working on this portrait.
In the cold bleak days of Ohio in the winter, I find this very refreshing and I wish I was there right now.
My first love was horses as it usually it is with most little girls... With that love, I spent a lot of my time drawing them... I always enjoy it when I get to get back to my roots and work on a beautiful horse
It is so much fun to get to do a portrait with personality. By looking at this dog, you feel he was a loving dog.
I just got home today from Lincoln Nebraska. I had my portrait booth at the ALSA Grand National Championship Show,, Thanks to all the people who stopped by to say hi.
